Does my hair type change as I get older?

Does my hair type change as I get older

Yes, hair may become coarser finer or your follicle shape may change affecting your hair’s strength or curl type.

The density (or the number) of hair fibres can also change over time, this is commonly called hair thinning. These changes can be brought about by changes in either your hormones, stress, illness or your diet, changes that affect the follicle cycle of the individual follicle within your scalp.

One of the best ways to reduce the risk of adverse changes in your hair is to maintain a balanced diet with a good mix of fruit and veggies. If this is not possible then we would suggest that you consider taking vitamin supplements.
